Every now and then, I look over at the old computer sitting across the room, and wistfully wonder if there is any way to recover data from the hard drive that crashed. I’ll be honest, most of what was on it was not that precious, but I wish I had thought to back up some old pictures of my late grandmother, her obituary, and the text file with the eulogy my father delivered. I’ve managed to recover most of it, but some of those pictures are gone for good. I recently ran across a site that might help me out, because it has all sorts of article on Hard Drives and Operating Systems that might allow me to find a way to access those files on that dead drive. I’ll let you know if I have any success with the techniques suggested.
