This old favorite of mine strikes me as the perfect theme song for the Obama Regime.
LIES
by The Thompson Twins
You told me you loved me
so i don't understand
why promises are snapped in two
and words are made to bend
(the bigger, the better)
some stolen from japan
collected from around the world,
they'll catch you if they can
(chorus)
lies lies lies yeah
lies lies lies yeah
lies lies lies yeah
do i have to catch you out
to know what's on your mind
well, cleopatra died for egypt,
what a waste of time
white ones and red ones
and some you can't disguise
twisted truth and half the news
can't hide it in your eyes
(REPEAT CHORUS)
you say you'll try harder
but i think it's just too late
well, the car is revving in the drive,
and i'm not the sort to wait
the bigger, the better
some nicked from old saigon
collected from around the world
love lies on and an and on and on and on and
lies lies lies yeah (they're gonna get you)
lies lies lies yeah (they won't forget you)
lies lies lies yeah (they're gonna get you)
lies lies lies yeah
oh you know i know
(REPEAT CHORUS)
oh you know i know
(REPEAT CHORUS)

I can accept that aq Democrat can be good and truthful -- my wife is an example. however, I've seen enough in two months to seriously doubt the ability of Barack Obama and his minions to do so. I mean, whatever happened to the "no lobbyists" pledge? The promise of five days with a bill posted at WhiteHouse.gov before it is signed? I could go on, but I've seen enough to be reasonably certain that we will continue to be lied to -- and the Obamabots will continue to defend barry Hussein to the very end -- while I and many of my conservative brothers and sisters were quite critical of George W. Bush.
And by the way, I know you wouldn't like what i am teaching my students. The Declaration of Independence. The US Constitution. The writings of the Founders and Framers. Stuff that you no doubt find terribly subversive due to the fact that it contradicts your expansive notion of the power of government.
And yes, I have intelligence -- which is why I'm not fooled by Obama.

You are mistaken by your assumption that I find those topics to be "terribly subversive", as well as, your assumption that such teachings "contradict" my "expansive notion of the power of government".
I believe in a government which is FOR the people, BY the people and OF the people.
I also believe in people working TOGETHER rather than nitpicking at each other and looking for their faults.
We are all human.....no one is perfect. Why not urge your Republican leaders to try working together with President Obama to find solutions. He has asked for their imput. He has said if anyone has a better plan....to present it.....to discuss it with him.
I challenge you and your Republican leaders to rise to the mature level of working together with Democrats to fix our country's and our world's problems.

You mean like the bailout bill, which was put together by the Democrat leaders and their Democrat staffs with no GOP input, and which was voted upon before any Republican (or Democrat, for that matter) even had a chance to read the complete bill? Or the planned use of the "reconciliation process" to prevent GOP debate or amendments to upcoming Obamunist programs? Looks much more like an attempt to silence the opposition rather than engage us.
