Now I’ll be up front with you on this one. On the first two questions my answer would be Bobby Jindal, on Question 3 it would be Chris Christie, and on Question 4 I would likely follow the lead of my fellow bloggers and go with Rubio. As for the remaining questions, I urge you to visit John’s results page to see what they were and how the crew that responded answered – and will say that I’m not always in agreement with their choices, especially on the final question.

Suppose a congressman who was very photogenic and had a strong positive personality and was well liked was offerred as a presidential candidate. But suppose this congressman's priority if elected was to destor the 2nd amendment. He would probably still get high positives from many segments of the voting public but could he get enough of his base to vote for him? His negatives would destroy his chances of being elected even though his positives would "look" good. Rubio wants amnesty, period. He wants to give all the illegals here today amnesty and do it in a way that would make them all immediately eligble to petition to bring family members into the country. Quite honestly I would far prefer Rubio if he wanted to end the 2nd amendment or the 1st amendment then I would considering his views on illegal immigration. I attribute this intent on his part to the siomple fact that he puts his own culture and the country of his families origin ahead of America. He is a hispanic first and an American second. If he runs for president I will not just not vote for him I will vote for his opponent regardless of who it is. If the Republicans put up a candidate opposed to private ownership of guns I would similarly vote for his opponent. These are two issues I feel strongly about and would oppose. There may be a few million conservatives who agree with me but whose views would not show on a popularity poll.
