I've written about John Cobarruvias, the hatemongering blogger over at BayAreaHouston a number of times. I've documented his outrageousness intermittently over the year, as he has engaged in racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-disabled hate speech against his opponents and threatened/encouraged acts of violence against political opponents. Heck, I've even been on the receiving end of some of those threats myself.
Well, since those emails were sent nearly two years ago, I've continued to post about John and John has shown himself to be as cowardly as he is uncouth, given that he has not acted on his threats against me. But he has also moved up in the world, and is no longer a hatemongering blogger, precinct chair and government employee with a history of violating federal law. You see John is now a member of the Texas State Democratic Executive Committee -- the governing body of the Texas Democratic Party -- which makes him among the top Democrat leaders in Texas.
I had even started to wonder if maybe John had wised up and learned to keep his worst impulses in check.
And then I came home from the football game tonight and found this in RSS reader.
On the Gateway Pundit blog, Jim Hoft linked to a Freedom’s Outpost story about how liberals were using Facebook and Twitter to come out against guns. Among the selection of tweets advocating for the murder of NRA President Keene and all NRA members was a name familiar to me; probably familiar to many readers of Houston’s Liberal blog sites.
I’ve pasted a screen shot from the Freedom’s Outpost story in case NASA employee and Democrat Precinct 699 Chair John Cobarruvias of the Houstonblog Bay Area Houston tries to delete his tweet (warning language):
What followed was a tweet that, sadly, did not defy belief. It is the first of the three I have done a screen cap of (note that there were tweets to and from John in between these three) to preserve them for posterity, since I want to comment on all three, not just the one that has been cited at Houston blog Big Jolly Politics, my fellow Watcher's Council member at The Political Commentator, Gateway Pundit, Freedom Outpost,Examiner.com and Twitchy.
Got that? This top dog Dem is coming out in support of the murder of political opponents for the crime of -- being a political opponent of his gun grabbing agenda! And having called for the murder of those who dare to dissent from his political agenda, John Cobarruvias then has the audacity to declare his opponents to be terrorists!
ASIDE TO JOHN COBARRUVIAS: Excuse me, it isn't the NRA and its supporters who are making terroristic threats, John -- it is you, one of the top leaders of the Democrats in this state! Seems to me that your comments are prima facie evidence that the TDP, not the NRA, is the terrorist organization. After all, you won't find a single NRA leader calling for the murder of those seeking to strip Americans of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. And given your history of threats of violence against political opponents, your tweet here should not be brushed off as overwrought hyperbole in the wake of a national tragedy.
I also want you to notice the middle tweet. In the first tweet I captured, John used the hashtag #PrayForNewtown while wishing death upon those who don't believe that taking guns out of the hands of non-criminal Americans is the answer. In the second tweet, he makes it clear that he was mighty insincere there as well -- he doesn't believe that prayer is needed, warranted, or effectual. In other words, John Cobarruvias is a pious fraud who is prepared to feign religious sentiment in order to promote his agenda. And given that the rejection of prayer and call to action are temporally close together and shortly thereafter followed with a declaration that those he disagrees with are terrorists, isn't it reasonable to believe that the action he is seeking is found in the first tweet?
Here's hoping that the Texas Democratic Party, Harris County Democratic Party, NASA, and local, state, and federal law enforcement all take note of this matter and act appropriately in response.
UPDATE: Looks like Examiner.com has found another example of John Cobarruvias' eliminationist rhetoric -- this one from Facebook.
Of course, what do you expect of a man so full of hate that he tried to stop school children from getting bicycles and holiday turkeys because they were gifts from. . . GASP! . . . REPUBLICANS!
